As this newsletter was written we were starting to train UNA Ambassadors to deliver workshops in schools. UNA Ambassadors are students from the two universities who support the aims of the United Nations Association and want to communicate this enthusiasm. The workshops will explore the issues of War and Peace by examining the personal experiences of a child soldier and of a couple becoming reconciled after the end of apartheid in South Africa.

On 7 February we will show the next film in our Cine series: "Among the Believers". This shocking and intimate film will explore how and why the Red Mosque in Pakistan trained children to become jihadists. The film will be followed by a discussion with a panel of experts. An event not to be missed.

On 14 March, volunteers from Coventry University will organise a counter-terrorism conference  Hear young people describe how they were radicalised and discuss the Prevent programme with West Midlands counter-terrorism police and others.

Details of these and other forthcoming events below.
