The United Nations Association Coventry Branch organises events and websites where members of the public can find out about the United Nations and discuss international issues with experts.

Our activities cover all four pillars of the UN:

  • Peace & Security
  • Human Rights
  • Justice & International Law
  • Sustainable Development

We manage Coventry Climate Action Network. See https://covcan.uk/ for more information.

We also manage the Restorative Justice Coventry website: https://covrj.uk/

We are in the process of developing EcoForum UK which allows people to share information about what you are doing to stop environmental degradation and global warming and work together with others on projects you both care about. See https://ecoforum.uk/

Together with EcoForum UK we are developing EcoAward UK, free awards for organisations and individuals that undertake eco-related activities. See https://ecoaward.uk/

We are always looking for volunteers who can help us with our work. If you would like to find out more, visit our Get Involved page.

We are affiliated to the United Nations Association UK (UNA-UK) but we are not part of the United Nations.

Roxana Anton, Volunteer Manager

My name is Roxana Ingrid Anton, an enthusiastic masters student in Diplomacy, Law and Global Change at Coventry University. I am a graduate of Early Childhood Education at Birmingham City University, a degree that provided and developed a variety of transferable skills. I have always been curious and passionate about international relations, how the world around me is constantly changing and how countries are maintaining peace.

Throughout my journey, in the last four years, I have developed an interest in promoting human rights, raising awareness of climate change and developments in education. I can describe myself as organised, reliable and eager to learn and enhance my understanding in broad topics.

The opportunity I have to be a part of the United Nations Association Coventry Branch as a Volunteer Manager is unique not only by giving me the opportunity to work with and meet people that can be role models for my future career; but also by allowing me to work towards my interests and engage students or people from community with the UN principles.
