Dear Reader,

The theme for March is the climate crisis. March 15 will witness the first Global Student Strike for Climate and the United Nations sees climate change is the defining issue of our time. United Nations Association Coventry Branch is keen to raise awareness of this issue and promote action to limit its effects. We are therefore organising a Climate Emergency Forum in Coventry Council House at 1-3pm on Friday 15 March. We hope you can attend. Register at http://cef.unacov.uk where the event will also be streamed live.

Applications have now closed for applications to Geneva . A selection panel are currently interviewing the applicants to represent UNA Coventry on the Human Rights in Action Programme, receive training in Geneva and then run a 6 months human rights project in Coventry with support from the World Federation of UNAs in Geneva and from Coventry UNA. The selected candidate will be announced early in March.

The Coventry Schools War, Peace and Reconciliation Conference will be held at Warwick University on 19 March delivered by UNA Ambassadors from the two universities.
