Dear Reader,

Recently climate change has continued to dominate the activities of the branch and the many recent posts on the Coventry Climate Action Network website reflect this. This included organising the Global Strike for Climate outside Coventry Council House which was very well supported.

To keep up to date with future climate change activity you might like to subscribe to the new monthly CovCAN newsletter.

Nevertheless the UNA Branch still found time to hold a Committee meeting and appoint a new Treasurer. There is a report of the meeting on the UNACov.uk website.

In addition we welcomed Salome Kiknadze back from being trained at the United Nations in Geneva for her role in leading the Human Rights in Action programme, and she gave the Committee a presentation on her proposed project.

We will be running another Restorative Justice Conference in November and invite everyone to come along on  to find out more about how the people of Coventry can take part in this exciting new way to deal with the effects of crime and anti-social behaviour.
