Dear Reader,

The UN General Assembly has produced the final text of its "Declaration on the Commemoration of the Seventy-Fifth Anniversary of the United Nations". But UNA-UK considers it is far from satisfactory, mainly due to the change of wording about the Paris Climate Agreement forced through the by Trump administration.

Both these stories were reported on our website in July, as well as a shocking Coventry City Council plan to create a "Sustainable Development Commission" which will apparently have no public members. Many of our stories in July continued to be around the theme of COVID-19.

We invite you to join one of the litter picks we will be organising in September as part of the Great British September Clean 2020.

And remember we are still running UN75 sessions at 2-4pm UK time on the first Wednesday of every month during 2020. Join in a global conversation about what kind of world we want and what the UN should be doing to make it a reality simply by visiting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/71964075097

Read all these stories and more by following the links below.

Please stay safe and be considerate of others.
