Our Place at the Table – An Open Conversation Exploring Equalities and Human Rights in Coventry
Tues 25 June / 5pm to 8pm
Location: Feeding Coventry, Foleshill Community Centre, 757 Foleshill Road, Coventry, CV6 5HS
Equalities and Human Rights sit at the heart of this global city of cultures, and this event is an opportunity to celebrate ‘Equalities Day’ and respond to what they mean to the people of Coventry.
Our Place at the Table will be a feast of food and creativity bringing together artists, activists, academics and the wider community for an open and honest conversation.
Introduced by Councillor Ram Lakha, the event will feature international and grassroots Human Rights Activists, Artists and Speakers from UN, UNESCO and TedX.
We welcome you to bring your thoughts, experiences and vision to what promises to be an inspiring event taking place in the heart of the community.
A delicious vegan buffet will provided by Arabian Bites, a local social enterprise project working with newly arrived refugees.
Our Place at the Table is a collaboration between Coventry City of Culture Trust and Coventry City Council.
