Refill is a grassroots movement run by individuals who want to stop plastic pollution by making it easier to reuse and refill a bottle of water instead of buying a new one.
On Tuesday 19th March Severn Trent are holding a Refill action day in Birmingham.
We are looking for volunteers to help them spread the message about refill stations in Birmingham, where businesses and cafes advertise free tap water in order to help reduce our reliance on single-use plastic bottles and instead use our own bottles or washable glasses when out and about. Volunteers will be provided with everything they need and will be sent out in pairs to talk to businesses about the scheme.
We would love to have as many volunteers join us on the day as possible! Refill is a fantastic campaign which aims to reduce single-use plastic usage by making it easy, social and rewarding to refill your reusable water bottle.
We will provide everything you need for the day, whereby you will be out and about in pairs approaching local businesses to spread the word about the Refill campaign, and hopefully signing them up to the free Refill app, and putting a Refill sticker in their window.
The action days are brilliant ways to help support the scheme and work collaboratively with local environmental groups, councils, businesses and volunteers.

There are Android and Apple apps that let you find a refill station when you travel.
