Leamington’s EcoFest will take place on 31 August in the Pump Room Gardens and UNA Warwick District will have a stall to to display and discuss information including about the forthcoming UN Conference on Climate Change – COP29 being held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

They hope to support the public in gaining a better understanding of the UN Association, particularly:

• What is COP29 and what are the COP29 goals?
• What is our responsibility and what can we do to improve our own carbon footprint?
• Displaying United Nation`s contribution towards Climate Change
• What have the local UN Association been up to during 2023/24 and how can I get involved?

They will also be selling a variety of second-hand books to generate much needed funds for the local Branch. If you have any books you wish to donate for the stall then Caroline Wilson would be very pleased to hear from you. Caroline can be contacted via carolinehurstwilson@hotmail.co.uk.

Or you can take books to the Stall on the day. Types of books appreciated are novels (both hard and paperbacks), biographies, illustrated books e.g. gardening and children’s books.
