Coventry Language Café will be celebrating European Day of Languages on the evening of 29 September in Old Windmill pub.
Coventry Language Café gives people the opportunity to practice speaking a foreign language and normally hosts conversations in one or more of the following: English, French, German or Spanish, although other languages are sometimes spoken by attendees.
The meeting on 26 September will allow people to discuss, among other things, the potential benefits of European Day of Languages, an annual event supported and coordinated by the European Centre for Modern Languages (ECML).
ECML is run by the Council of Europe, Europe’s leading human rights organisation. It comprises 46 member states, including the United Kingdom.
European Day of Languages 2024 has the theme Languages for Peace.
