The results of both the Brexit referendum and the US Presidential elections have surprised and shocked some people and delighted others. Both events are likely to have widespread consequences for years to come, not just for the two countries involved but for many others.
What are the causes of these two extraordinary results? What trends can be identified and what other elections are coming up which might be affected by the same forces?
Dr Anil Awesti from the University of Warwick will explore what research tells us, analyse trends and explore some of the possible futures. Then the audience can express their hopes and fears for the future.
