What is KenilworthCAN? Like Us On FaceBook
Is a project to engage the people of Kenilworth, Warwickshire in reducing their carbon footprint and so helping to avoid disastrous global warming while saving money in the process. The UK government has signed up to reduce CO2 emissions by 30% by 2030, with significant progress by 2020. To achieve this, significant changes in how we use energy has to be made.
Who is running KenilworthCAN?
KenCan is organized by United Nation Association Coventry Branch, with Dr. Jacob Z. Dalgaard as the main volunteering organizer.
Why KenilworthCAN?
The current problem when preventing Climate Change is not so much the lack of technologies, but the lack of implementation. If we want to avoid global warming we need to use the available energy efficient technologies. Importantly, saving energy also saves money, prevent pollution, creates jobs, improve our health, prevent imports and creates a more sustainable society. UN Sustainable Goals 2016.
How do I support KenilworthCAN?
The best way to support is to raise the awareness of the campaign; tell your friends and neighbors about how you are saving energy, and what energy improvements you have done to your home. Tell them about the changes in your lifestyle that you have done and how you and society are benefiting. Finally, we are planning a one-day event in Kenilworth this spring or early summer and will be looking for volunteers; if you are interested in helping, please send your contact information to jzeuthendalgard@gmail.com. This event will be focused on implementation of LED light bulbs in homes and businesses as a way of raising the awareness and help reduce CO2 emissions.
