Videos from UNGA at 80
On Saturday 17 January UNA-UK hosted a public event in the historic room at Methodist Central Hall Westminster where the General Assembly first met 80 years before.
UNGA at 80: From 1946 to Our Future brought together diplomats, parliamentarians, students, civil society changemakers, faith leaders and community activists to celebrate the UK’s pivotal role in the founding of the UN and discuss the future of the organisation in a changing world.
With multilateralism under threat, the gathering was a timely and inspiring reminder of the urgent, collective actions we can all take for a safer, fairer and more sustainable world.
Here are some videos from the event. You can find more here on YouTube.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres speaks at UNGA at 80.
This panel considered the role of the UN in international peace and security, in upholding human rights and international law, and advancing the women, peace and security agenda.
