World Health Summit
The World Health Summit (WHS) is an international conference held annually during October in Berlin as well as online. Stakeholders from science, business, politics, and civil society meet to discuss key challenges in global healthcare. WHS aims to improve global health through open dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders from all sectors of society. It also brings together international experts from science, politics, business, and civil society to jointly address pressing challenges in healthcare. Over 40,000 participants take part, most of them online.
These summits started in 2009 and are under the patronage of the German Chancellor, the French President and the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO).
The World Health Summit also organises annual WHS Regional Meetings in different parts of the world as well as activities throughout the year such as the WHS Global Health Dialogues, which aim to foster exchange among decision-makers and thought leaders in smaller settings.
