Susana Mabel Malcorra (born in 1954, Rosario, Santa Fe) graduated as an Electrical Engineer from the University of Rosario. Between 1979 and 1993 she worked at IBM. She then joined Telecom Argentina, where she became president. She was Chief of Staff to the Ban Ki-Moon at the United Nations from March 2012 until November 2015, when she was appointed foreign relations minister of Argentina.
She is married and has one son. She describes herself as an atheist. Aside from her native Spanish, she also speaks, with varying levels of fluency, English, Portuguese and French.
