The word “biodiversity” is frequently used in discussions about climate change and the environment — but what does biodiversity mean for us as individuals, for our communities and society, and for the wider world?
Ed will explore these questions, as well as the work of Warwickshire Wildlife Trust and its contribution to improving local biodiversity and conservation through practical action.
Ed is responsible to the Council of Trustees for the delivery of the Trust’s strategy, organisational finance, legal compliance and key relationships.
Ed has worked for the Wildlife Trust since 2007 and has an excellent understanding of how a democratic, community-based membership organisation can acquire and develop assets that are then used to improve the environment in which its members live, work and play.
This requires a strong understanding of the financial and human aspects of running a charity. Here in Warwickshire, this also includes the Trust’s ownership of a commercial company whose profits are used to support its charitable work.
