On Saturday 18th April, 2026, Warwick District United Nations Association hosts Sharon Booth from Solutions Not Sides (SNS) who will be speaking about a particular focus in SNS at the moment on the threat to democracy posed by polarisation and the policies and rhetoric of the Trump administration and the rise of Reform UK.
The event will be held at Leamington Spa Baptist Church, Chandos Street, Leamington Spa, CV32 4RN. Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be available ā feel free to bring your own lunch.

SNS is Britainās leading charity for Peace Education. They equip young people with the skills to respond to conflict, injustice and polarisation through dialogue, nonviolent action, human rights and democratic participationāwith Israel-Palestine as their case study. Their programmes bring Palestinian and Israeli peacebuilders into UK classrooms to help young people explore different perspectives, win-win outcomes, and active citizenship.
Sharon has an MA from Cambridge University in Theology and Religious Studies. Following her graduation, she taught English at Amideast in Tunisia and then went on to work in Amman, Jordan as a Productions Manager for a publishing company with programmes for young people aiming to promote reading in the Arab World. In Sharon’s final year in Jordan, she was employed as PA to the Defence AttachĆ© at the British Embassy, then returned to the UK and began work in Israeli-Palestinian conflict resolution, founding the Solutions Not Sides Education Programme in 2010. Sharon speaks Arabic and French and has studied ancient Hebrew. In January 2016, she was awarded a masterās degree with distinction from King’s College London, specialising in nationalism and religion.
