Stop the Traffik
Stop the Traffik (STT) was founded as a campaign coalition in 2005 that aimed to bring an end to human trafficking worldwide. In 2008 it presented a petition with 1.5 million signatures to the UN’s global forum to combat trafficking and STT became an independent international charity based in the UK. In the same year its founder, Steve Chalke MBE, was appointed UN Special Advisor On Community Action Against Trafficking.
It is estimated 49.6 million people are currently trapped in modern slavery.
