One Planet One Right (1planet1right.org) is home to a global coalition concerned about our survival and that of the planet. They are asking people to sign a petition that will “send a powerful message to the United Nations, its relevant bodies and all governments that the earth’s citizens demand the right to live on a healthy planet and make it a new human right urgently”.

They are calling upon the United Nations to:

Pass resolutions to recognize the right to a healthy environment at the UN Human Rights Council and at the UN General Assembly, include the right as an urgent topic at the UN Summit on Biodiversity, and incorporate the right in the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework.
Ultimately include the right to a healthy environment in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
