Warwick District UN Association are honoured to have Dan Kaszeta from the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI – UK’s leading defence and security think tank) – on 25 May. He will address a meeting on the threats and realities of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons use by Russia in the current Ukraine conflict.
Dan will examine and discuss Russia`s chemical, biological and nuclear capabilities and discuss
- How could the nuclear threat be manipulated to escalate, or de-escalate, the war?
- What would be the way forward now towards the reduction or elimination of chemicals and nuclear arsenal so that no nuclear states can future threaten their first use of these weapons?
Warwick District UNA feel that the case for nuclear disarmament has been put on the “back burner” for too long by the UN and today we are facing the consequences of its use.
